Grupo 5 is the pioneer and leading company in the mental health and social emergency sectors in Spain. It manages about 65 centres of mental health and brain damage rehabilitation, mainly in the Community of Madrid, as well as the social emergency activities in Madrid, Andalusia and the Canary Islands.
The transaction was designed as a buy & build in 2017, in which Corpfin Capital acquired Grupo 5 – a leading company in mental health, neuronal rehabilitation and social emergencies; and Novaedat Baleares – leader in nursing homes in the Balearic Islands. After optimizing the elderly residences division, Corpfin Capital sold this division to Korian in 2019, and is currently focusing on the mental health area, boosting its growth, predominately organically, by opening mental health and brain damage rehabilitation centres.
