At Corpfin Capital we are committed to excellence, respect and promotion of environmental, social and corporate governance aspects. Our Responsible Investment Policy includes our approach to these aspects and commitment to the planet and society. We also have a Conflict of Interest Policy in place for the benefit of transparency.
Our ESG and Sustainability Report 2023 outlines our journey and key achievements thus far. We are committed to generating value for our investors while fostering the sustainable growth of investee companies. We actively cultivate and champion environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles within our portfolio, with the aim of transforming them into more sustainable and responsible entities by the time of divestment. Consequently, our short- to long-term goal is to persistently integrate the best ESG practices across our companies, thereby creating enduring, sustainable value in our investments.
This includes careful attention to Regulation (EU) 2019/2088, relating to the publication of information on sustainability‐related disclosures in the financial services sector (known as “SFDR”). Accordingly, in 2022, we filed Corpfin Capital Fund V (2019) as Article 8 SFDR fund with the CNMV and we also developed our SFDR Statement, which includes how sustainability risks are integrated into our investment decisions. Corpfin Capital Fund IV and -all its associated entities- (2014) is also adhering to Article 8 standards, but not classified as Article 8 as it is in the divestment phase.
We assess the principal adverse impacts (PAIs), both real and potential, that may arise from our funds’ investments on sustainability factors. We identify these PAIs during the Due Diligence phase and actively manage their mitigation throughout the entire investment period by defining and implementing specific actions to help reduce their effects. In compliance with SFDR regulation, we periodically disclose our Statement on Principal Adverse Impacts of Investment Decisions on Sustainability Factors.
In 2012 we signed the Principles of Responsible Investment of the United Nations, UN PRI.In addition to applying these principles systematically in our organization, we consider the transfer of these objectives and values to each of our investee companies an integral part of our mission, contributing to the sustainable improvement of the environment and generating sustainable long-term returns for society.
Moreover, in 2001 Corpfin Capital launched “MATCH PROGRAM”, which doubles the commitments made by its employees to organizations and associations of their choice every year. We collaborate with the following NGOs and foundations among others: Ayuda en Acción, Caritas, Banco de Alimentos (Food Bank), Ayuda Efectiva Foundation, ACNUR, Educo Foundation, Médecins Sans Frontières, Amnesty International and María Ayuda.
